Applications are currently being accepted for the position of Finance Clerk at the Butler County Auditor’s office.

Job Summary:  Performs account/document verification and reporting in vendor claims for payment, payroll and cash ledger balancing; prepares various reports necessary in tracking revenues and expenditures; handles documentation and questions regarding employee benefits; assures all employment law is followed; provides assistance to the public as needed; participates in various operational and support tasks carried out in the Auditor’s office, including elections tasks. 

Basic Job Requirements: Minimum knowledge/skills required but not limited to: Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or higher in Business is preferred, 3-5 years job-related budget, finance, and accounting experience.  Candidate must be highly accurate, possess the ability to organize and prioritize work schedule, have exceptional customer service skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse office environment.  Must possess an understanding of accounting principles, strong computer skills and have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel with the ability to quickly learn other county and elections software. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.  Additional, flexible hours and occasional travel required. Must possess a valid driver license and pass a background check.
