Veteran Assistance

The Butler County Veterans Assistance Program is funded by the County to provide assistance to resident veterans with emergency basic needs. These basic needs include:

  • Rent
  • Food
  • Medical
  • Burial
  • Special Needs

To be eligible for this program you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a veteran with an honorable discharge
  • Be a resident of Butler County
  • Meet certain income guidelines
  • Apply for any and all benefits
  • Have emergency basic needs that cannot be met by other means

The Butler County Veteran Affairs Commission is a member of the Iowa County Commission of Veterans Affairs. The Director is a National Certified County Veterans Service Officer. The Director’s certification is updated yearly.

The Butler County Director of Veteran Affairs is available for workshops, presentations, and guest speaking concerning federal and county veteran benefits.

The Butler County Veterans Service Programs provides assistance to all veterans, and their dependents, in applying for federal benefits, and other related matter, concerning the federal government.
